What Is Visa On Arrival (VOA)?

Visa On Arrival is the entry permit that you can get when you enter Indonesia from abroad directly upon arrival.

It was suspended for two years but now it has been reinstated by the Indonesian Government since the 7th of March 2022.

The following 96 countries are currently able to apply for and enter Indonesia with Visa on Arrival:

It allows you to stay for a total of 60 days and doesn’t require any procedure before arriving in the country.

You will get 30 days upon arrival and 30 days upon extension. You can do the extension with us!

Worth to note is that Visa on Arrival can’t be converted to another type of permit. Holders are also not eligible to apply for an extension of their stay permit with an onshore visa.


if you plan to stay more than 60 days we recommend you apply for a Tourist/Business Visa before your arrival in Indonesia.

Procedure To Obtain Visa On Arrival?

To obtain the sticker and stamp of Visa On Arrival (VOA), foreigners must show:

  • a nationality passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months
  • return tickets or a ticket to continue traveling to another country
  • a Covid-19 vaccination certificate (full dose)
  • proof of payment for VOA

Once arrived you can apply for Visa On Arrival at immigration checkpoints in the arrival hall. You can pay with US Dollars and Rupiah, please prepare some cash upon your arrival!

If you already have an Offshore Tourist/Business or a KITAS you don’t have to queue for the payment you can just go straight to the immigration check-in counter!

Visa On Arrival costs USD 35 or IDR 500,000 according to Government Regulation No. 28 of 2019.

Once paid you will receive a receipt that you need to show to the Immigration employee, which will add a sticker on your passport with the date of expiration ( 30 days).

You are now free to go to Indonesia and you can either leave before the expiration of the Visa or you can extend it for another 30 days

Visa On Arrival Extension

The VOA extension can now be processed online making it easier and more convenient for you to stay longer in Indonesia.

No visit to the immigration office is required, unless specifically requested by immigration authorities.

What Is The Price Of The Visa On Arrival Extension (VOA)?

  • Normal Service: IDR 850,000 (processing time: 10–12 business days)
  • Express Service: IDR 1,350,000 (processing time: 5 business days)

Processing time begins once we submit your extension to the online immigration system, not from the date you contact us.

Payment Methods for Visa On Arrival Extension

Our accepted payment methods are Wise, Credit Card, Revolut, and Western Union.

Please note:

  • PayPal and International Bank Transfer are not accepted due to delays and high fees.
  • Wise: To make your payment process faster, please use our email address as the Wise Recipient: [email protected]
  • Revolut: We will begin processing once the full invoice amount is received in our bank account. Please make sure the amount of money we will receive must match the amount on the invoice, if there is a difference due to deductions or because you underpaid, you must pay the difference.
  • Credit Card payments: Send us a confirmation to receive the payment link. This method incurs an additional 3% charge.
  • Indonesian Company Bank Accounts: If you pay through a company bank account, especially a company from Indonesia, you will have to pay the 2% of tax on your expenses – this case only if you report the transaction.

The required documents you should bring along when you drop your passport at our office:

  1. Passport that is valid
  2. An official receipt for visa on arrival
  3. The return ticket
  4. Providing your Bali address
  5. Contact number for WhatsApp
