Who is the Family KITAS for?

Family Kitas is preceded by the C317 index to diversify it from other types of KITAS.

Are eligible to apply for this permit:

1) who is married to Indonesian citizen

2) who already have a working KITAS can apply for a Family KITAS to their family ( spouse and children) to join them in Indonesia

3) children born from a legal marriage with an Indonesian citizen

The purpose of this permit is only for a limited stay, not for work.

Here you can find more info for who is eligible for a Limited stay permit.

How long is the validity?

If you are married to an Indonesian citizen this Visa allows you to stay for 1 year and it can be extended up to 4 times, so in total 5 years. In this case applicants can apply for KITAP after 3 years of holding a KITAS. This applies also for your kids born with your Indonesian spouse.

Instead if you hold a valid work permit you can apply for your family (can all be foreigners) using your company as a sponsor and allow them to stay as long as your permit is valid. Once you extend your work permit, also the Visa of your family can be extended.

All the Family Kitas come with multiple entries, so during the validity who hold this permit can freely enter and leave Indonesia without having to submit for a new Visa.
